A couple of years ago I discovered a wonderful Unity plugin called UMA which promised to make customisable characters available to everyone. Since there were no tutorials available, I rolled my sleeves up, and with the help of some very enthusiastic developers, unravelled how it worked. I was so pleased with myself I decided to share what I’d learned on YouTube. A lot has changed since then and I'd love to share it with you.
My goal is to create a comprehensive set of tutorials from scratch, exploring all of the possibilities UMA gives us, and believe me, there are hidden depths in there that you might not have imagined.
- Create regular tutorials covering every aspect of UMA
- Look at using commonly available tools to create content.
- Maintain the tutorials and keep them up to date.
- Maintain the UMA WIKI
- Provide free assets and source code for you to use in your projects.
So, if you’re a self-taught programmer-artist-designer-dreamer like me or someone a little more organised, please come and join me on this journey into the wonderful beast known as UMA.
