My name is Sej Saraiya and I am a documentary and fine-art photographer. My photographic work has taken me to some of the remotest corners of this planet where not many dare to go, from the last tattooed headhunters of remote India to the medicine women of British Columbia; from the shamans of the Venezuelan Amazonas to globally revered leaders and humanitarians such Their Holinesses, the Dalai Lama.

As an ethnographic and conservation photographer, I have developed an ability to travel
between cultures and, through photography and my interactions, reveal the essence
and perspectives of these cultures, and the important role they play and the contribution
they make to the world.

There are not many women behind the lens in conservation photography, and female
storytellers are bringing a new perspective to the existing stories. They are critical. Through live Q&A's and answering questions I also hope to fulfill the role of a mentor for young girls and women who aspire to be visual storytellers, bringing to them an outlook and experience that is not normally available.

Thank you so much for your support and I look forward to interacting with you!

With love,
Sej Saraiya
