You get a virtual high-five or hug from me, and access to my Patreon-only feed. Thanks for just being awesome and supporting something you believe in. This is a vote from you to me to keep going, and I appreciate it.
You get a virtual hug or high-five from me, access to my Patreon-only feed, and your name on my Patreon Donors wall of fame on Semi-Rad.com. Thanks for just being awesome and supporting something you believe in. This is a vote from you to me to keep going, and I appreciate it.
You get access to my Patreon-only feed, some Practice Maximum Enthusiasm stickers, and your name on my Patreon Donors wall of fame on Semi-Rad.com. I have a lot of projects I don't talk about on social media—books, films, other creative projects, and adventure trips. But if you're a supporter, I'll put up text and video updates on Patreon once a month and let you know what's going on behind the scenes. Also, I'll send you a handful of Practice Maximum Enthusiasm stickers.
I've been writing a blog post for Semi-Rad.com every single week since February 2011. More than 3 million people have visited the site, and I hope many of you have gotten a laugh or some inspiration from something I put up on a Thursday morning. I've also been putting up 3-4 drawings every week on my Instagram page since December 2016.
No one's ever paid a cent to access anything on Semi-Rad.com, or on my Instagram page—the content has always been free. I never want to charge anyone to read Semi-Rad posts. I am able to keep doing what I do thanks to a few sponsors (Outdoor Research, REI, and a couple other sponsors who have come and gone throughout the years) who support me financially. I never know from one year to the next how much money is going to come in from these sponsors for the blog content I create (although, shout out to Outdoor Research for sticking around since 2013), and I face the possibility that some year I'll have to stop the blog because I need to take the time I spend writing it and use it to do other freelance work that is a guaranteed paycheck.
I'm not trying to guilt-trip or scare anyone here. If you like what you've read since last year, or since 2011, I'd love to have your financial support. I personally pay for the New York Times, Spotify, the Washington Post, the New Yorker, Netflix, and a few other subscriptions, and you probably do too. If you think reading Semi-Rad is worth a dollar a month, or a few dollars a month, please feel free to kick that in here. I appreciate it, and every donation I get energizes me to keep the site going. [NOTE: If you'd like to make a one-time donation or just buy me a coffee, you can do that via my Ko-fi page.]
