About

Caitlin is a sex educator, writer, consultant, illustrator, and designer by profession that likes to write about everything from lubricant science to bigotry and why they think lingerie is really cool.
Caitlin is a non-binary, queer femme with chronic pain and exhaustion that lives and works in/near Philadelphia, PA. Current projects include being Head Educator and Coordinator for the Philadelphia Academy of Sex Education- currently in the process of trying to secure funds for a house venue for the Academy where we can host out of town educators, various associated programs, a library, and a Queer Cinema Club- as well as working on creating a multidisciplinary design studio, a zine publishing project called Silicone Press, and working on a book all about sex toys that will be self-published.
In other words, they're very busy.
Caitlin currently is only working part time due to physical constraints and by pledging, you'll be helping support any number of the projects above, as well as helping Caitlin live a reasonably comfortable existence.

We are constantly hearing about the negative effects of abstinence only or abstinence plus sex education in public schools, but the alternative often offered- a reproduction focused, fear based sex education- isn't much better. I grew up with minimal sex education and only started learning when I was hired to work in an adult store. From there, I began writing and reviewing sex toys- talking about subjects like g-spotting, the dangers of toxic sex toys, gender, lingerie, and more. I've written for Bitch Magazine and Kinkly.com, amongst other outlets, and I've been on a couple 100 top sex blogger lists, like those of  Kinkly and Glamour Brazil. I am currently in the process of revamping a guide about sex toys I created, trying to create a collaborative quarterly zine called Silicone, which will be self-published under Silicone Press, and working on getting the Philadelphia Academy of Sex Education off the ground as Coordinator and Head Educator.

Sex Education is an incredibly underfunded effort, and with legislation on toxic sex toys and inclusive sex education going nowhere we have to take to the internet.

I need your support to create all the books, guides, articles, illustrations, photography, and workshops happen while still being able to survive- my current situation has me barely scraping by and working at a part time job that sucks up a huge portion of my time and most of my energy, as someone that suffers from chronic pain and fatigue. If all of my readers, or even just a large portion of my readers, commit to $1 per month, I'll be able to have a higher quality of life where I can actually treat my chronic medical conditions, eat the food I need to to stay healthy, and live in a safe/sane environment- which means more reviews, more artwork, and the expansion of the resources― quarterly themed zines, pages and pages of sex educational awesomeness on my website, and finally being able to start on big projects that will help me become self sustainable in my career― that I want more than anything to make available to everyone.

What you get in return are regular insights into what I'm working on, early access to giveaways, little thought journals, and what I'm reading as well as anything else I think might be relevant.
