Super Fun Toon Screens takes a trip back through the less-fondly-remembered cartoons of yesteryear to see how well they've aged. (Spoiler: generally pretty poorly.) We started in 2016 with 1995's "Street Fighter" and have since gone to cover a handful of other shows, each with their own particular charms.

If it sounds like we're harsh on these shows, it's only because we really love cartoons! Exploring the ways our favorite characters were twisted and shaped into something new can be downright hilarious, and we do our best to be a little ray of sunshine on Twitter's increasingly cloudy days.

Check us out at @sftoonscreens!

Things we've watched so far:
Street Fighter (1995)
Donkey Kong Country (1997)
Mega Man (1994)
Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm (1996)
Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins [home video] (1995)
DarkStalkers (1995)
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog [holiday special] (1993)
Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe In Santa (2002)
