About Shani Silver
I’m Shani Silver. I've been a humor essayist since 2013, writing for publications like xoJane, Huffington Post, Nylon, and others. I currently write a column on Refinery29 called Every Single Day, and you can also read my work on Medium.
In April of 2019, I launched A Single Serving Podcast. I wanted to share stories, advice, and insight from as many single women as possible, on as many topics as possible, through the lens of being happy with — not ashamed of — our single lives. A podcast seemed like a happy medium between what I'm good at and what my technological skills will allow for, so I decided to give it a try. Six months and 50K downloads in, and I think I'm off to a good start.
I love this work, but it's a lot. The podcast and its Facebook Group are both passion projects of mine that bring me SUCH great joy, but at this point everything from booking guests, to recording, to editing, to managing social media (and a many more tasks and minutiae) result in at least 15 hours of work per week. This Patreon is for readers and listeners who want to keep this work going, with access to exclusive extra content in exchange.
A Single Serving Podcast itself is free for everyone to listen to on iTunes & Spotify, and I encourage everyone to join the Facebook group as well. Your support as my patron ensures I can keep doing my work to improve the discussion around and societal opinions of single women. With my whole heart I thank you for your support and for being part of this community.
