About Shani Silver
I’m Shani Silver. I've been a humor essayist since 2013, writing for publications like xoJane, Huffington Post, Nylon, and I wrote a Refinery29 column called Every Single Day for two years. If you're new to my work, The Single Girl Syllabus is a good place to start.
In April of 2019, I launched A Single Serving Podcast. My intention is to reframe and improve the way we think about our own single lives, so that we can feel better, live fully, and stop settling for less than what we really want and deserve. There is nothing wrong about us just because we're single—but society shames us into thinking that there is.
Beginning January 1st, 2021, A Single Serving Podcast publishes 1x per month on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and other free-access platforms. All other weekly episodes will still be published every Monday morning, but they will only be accessible via the $5 per month tier here on Patreon. This $5 per month tier will also include access to a new, private Facebook group for Patrons—this is the only Facebook group for this podcast.
My DMs are wide open to all Patreon Patrons. Please feel free to send me questions, comments, discussion topics you'd like me to address, guest requests and ideas, everything. I love creating this content and this space for you, and you have my sincere thanks for being my Patrons and supporting this work. I have so much love and respect for the single community, and it is my joy to continue to help us reframe and improve the way we feel about this beautiful, valid, life.
