About Sharon Bourbonnais

Have you ever thought of being a Patron of the Arts? Someone who supports/encourages charities, organizations or individuals that create, perform & bring the arts to life? Do you love music, going to concerts, singing along with the radio or playing your favorite albums in the evening to relax or dance? If you answered yes, I hope you will join me as a Patron of the Arts and support the recording of my new 12 song album to be released on vinyl, CD and digitally, a video of "Next to Fall" to combat homelessness and help me on my tour to France and Spain! There are several opportunities available for you to participate and be a valuable assistant/co-creator in this artist endeavor over the next year. Here's an introduction to catch you up!

Sharon Bourbonnais is a singer/songwriter occupying a fun niche between New Orleans inspired jazz and Texas blues that swings and sings of romance, charm and panache! On Reverbnation you will find Sharon Bourbonnais the number one Austin Jazz artist a place she's held for over 3 years with residencies at the world-renowned Elephant Room and the historic Driskill Hotel Bar.  Beginning Fall 2019 Sharon will start a new residency featuring Women in Music the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at one of Austin's best soundstage, El Mercado Backstage. Touring frequently throughout Texas, the Midwest, Hawaii and now expanding to Europe, Sharon Bourbonnais will join rock legend Joe “King” Carrasco on tour in France late July 2019. This includes a tour through Spain featuring a return performance of Sharons' band at the Pueblos Blancos Music Festival in August.

Sharon is in the midst of recording a new album with noted producer and music legend Chris Gage, eyeing a 2020 release. Joining Sharon in the studio are some of the most talented musicians in Austin Texas and perhaps the world! There is also a video in the works to help end homelessness and will be dedicated to the organization founded by Richard Troxell and now headed up by P.J. Liles, House the Homeless (www.housethehomeless.org). The video will be set a around a song that Sharon wrote entitled "Next to Fall". Sharon has already invested $3500.+ into the recording process, for studio musicians, cover art and the studio itself and she needs your help to complete the album, video and tour! Keep the music and the dream alive by becoming a patron!

Somewhere in between jazz and blues you'll find the music through the heart of Sharon Bourbonnais. When you see her fingers glide effortlessly across 88 keys and hear her sultry voice inviting you to share in clever, insightful stories, you immediately sense this is not your typical singer/songwriter fare.

Sharon has three CD album releases to her credit; including Reves in 2014, A Girl’s Gotta Play in 2017 and 2018’s Generations. Sharon occasionally lends her keyboard and vocal talents to other artists in studio and onstage. She is a voting member of the Recording Academy/Grammy's and BMI artist.
Goals
$110 of $1,000 per month
Through next year June 2020 I need your help in bringing my music and positive message to the world!
1) I am recording what will be a "Grammy contending" album with award winning producer Chris Gage to be mastered by Jerry Tubb with cover art/story by Grammy award winning Dick Reeves! The 12 song LP will be recorded on vinyl & compact disk. Want to know more about the 12 songs, back story, the creative process and see the fun behind the scenes of recording? Become a Patron!
2) Create a video of Next to Fall; a song off the album about how a person can go from having it all to being on the streets. The video will be a charitable tribute to raise awareness, provide solutions and revenue to help the homeless in Austin, Texas and beyond with all proceeds going to "House the Homeless". Contributors to the video are Kirby Walker videographer, Richard Troxell "founder of House the Homeless and Eric Leikam artistic vision collaborator. Please consider becoming a patreon and come along on this amazing journey!
