Welcome! I’m Monique Melton and I’m the creator of the The Shine Brighter Together Community & Podcast. I’m a highly sought-after anti-racism educator, international speaker and published author.
I’m glad you’re here and I appreciate your interest in financially supporting the work I’m doing for Black liberation.
This space is evolving:
I originally created this space to provide folks the opportunity to specifically financially support the Shine Brighter Together Podcast. But now this space is evolving along with me as I evolve and pivot in the way I show up and engage in my work. As a result of enduring constant racism on social media and feeling as though my content and the time I spend creating it could be better served elsewhere, I decided to move it here.
So you will find content shared here similar to what I've shared on my IG--I deleted most of my content from IG, after having two post removed by IG in just two weeks. I knew that my work didn't deserve to be freely accessible and available on a platform that refuses to provide a safe space for it and for the folks like me that create it.
So we're moving the conversation here and I couldn't be more thrilled about it.
What to expect here
The Shine Brighter Together community, which includes the podcast, is focused on sharing the journey of and real stories of those committed to doing the work of anti-racism, for Black liberation—so we can all live freely and fully in our humanity! This community here is a continuation of the conversation of Black liberation and a place for folks to financially support my work. The conversations here will center Black liberation by highlighting the Shine Brighter Together podcast, engaging in discussions about anti-racism topics, and by challenging folks to take action for sustainable change.
About the Shine Brighter Together Podcast
In season 1 of the podcast, you learn a lot about me, my journey and the foundation of the this work. In the coming seasons, you can expect some exciting changes that will include more intersectional topics and conversations with incredible guests.
