About

I WRITE POEMS

This Patreon started almost a year ago and it was sort of undecided. I put a lot of stuff in here, because I was still searching for my artistic voice. I am a writer, but I hadn't written in years due to the trauma of loss and depression. I slowly started to find my way back to art by starting to draw again and by writing poems. Very personal poems, a diary really. At some point this year I realized that I'll never be a painter. I do have some skills in that department and once in a while art happens somehow, but I can’t say why or how. This drawing for example, the only one of it’s kind, I drew it in March after returning home from Venice with a blue notebook.

I still think that this was pivotal. Because for the first time in years I felt like an artist again. And it came with a poem. Somehow after that my poetry started to flow. And I noticed that my perspective changed. I saw myself as a poet and stopped seeing it as just a diary. I started to plan publication and ideas came together. In the end, that’s how art works. And in the summer I finally renamed myself. I always knew that I would need another name for me as a poet, but it took a while to find it. And it took my realizing that I am genderfluid, so though I will always feel mostly female, I wanted a genderneutral name, one that would have both parts of me.

So how will this Patreon continue?

I thought about this. And I really want to work on poetry mostly and do some illustrations for it in addition. If you want to support me, join the Patreon! This book was only possible because two dozen people believed in me. Some of the poems in this book were inspired by prompts my patrons gave me. And I'd be happy if next year you'd want to go on this journey with me and be part of my work as poet and poetry designer.

Projects für 2020:
1. Lost Paradises Poetry: Poems inspired by beautiful places, that don't exist anymore.
2. London Street Art Poetry: Poems inspired by London Street Art. I will spend a week in London, take photos of streetart all over the city and be inspired by it.
Goals
26 of 100 patrons
If I reach 100 patrons, there will be a print book in December, a selection of poems and drawings, with the names of all patrons inside.

Wenn ich 100 Patrons erreiche, werde ich ein Printbuch mit einer Auswahl aus Texten und Zeichnungen machen, die Namen aller Unterstützer*innen inklusive.
