About Juanpe Bolívar

I'm Juanpe Bolivar, an independent software engineer and researcher based in Berlin. I develop open source tools for functional and reactive programming in C++, with a focus on interactive software. Here are some of the stuff that I have been doing recently:
  • Immer, a library of immutable data-structures for C++ (website, github)
  • Lager, a library for interactive applications with a unidirectional data-flow architecture (website, github)
  • Schmutz, a library for easy bindings between Guile and C++ (website, github)
  • "Persistence for the mases", research on novel data-structure implementation techniques published at ICFP'17 (pdf preprint)
  • "Postmodern immutable data structures", a talk at CppNow'17 (youtube, slides)
These projects are the first steps in a long-term vision that brings the simplicity and correctness of modern front-end architectures to the world of systems programming and high performance interactive systems. Help me dedicate myself to this full-time by becoming a patron.
Alternatively, you may consider becoming an sponsor and get your logo in our projects, presentation slides and the ability to influence our projects future—send me an email if you are interested!
