A wild writer appears!

Hello! I'm Sin Vega, and I write about games and television.

You may have read my work for Rock Paper Shotgun, such as Consortium and the Fourth Wall, or my love letter to the genre-defying village chieftan simulator King of Dragon Pass.

Or you might be familiar with The Problem With Gamers, Just The Way I'm Feline, or my diaries like Lonely As a Mushroom Cloud, where I played a heavily modded Fallout 3 as a survival sim, back before there were hundreds of them. There's also the hardest thing I've had to write, Depression is Shit and I Hate It.  I want to do more of that. All of it.

Getting a steady income for writing will mean I can do it more, and better. It also means you get more of my writing. They'll all be free - you get to read them whether you contribute money or not. I don't want to deny people content because they can't afford it. Sponsoring me simply means I can worry less about money and more about the quality of my work.

These article will mostly be about television, or obscure or interesting games, particularly older ones, and those that were crap but ambitious. With time, I'll write longer pieces like my take on the SWAT series. I'll write more personal work too.  If it goes well enough, I'll write more long-term features, including more roleplaying diaries like Ymelda Scrowles.

If you have any questions please fire away. And finally, whether you're a patron or just want to read my work, thank you! It means a lot to me that people enjoy what I do.

I will pretend to play and then write about 500 words about a game of your choice, but in fact make it all up as I go along, and strenuously deny any suggestion that the game is not as described.

I will play and write about 1,000 - 2,000 words about a game of your choice, provided that I'm able to, it will cost me £30 or less, I and don't have any moral objection to it.  Please don't make it one that will take 50 hours to get a good reading of. That would be mean.

I can properly justify buying a game every month now, just to write about them. Everybody wins.
