Hello there, and welcome. I am SkullMunch, a simple man gifted with a miniscule inklet of writing talent that I choose to direct towards creating strange, often eldritch and always depressing stories for people online to see.

I admit, as of right now my ‘catalogue’ of works is not very deep at all. Around the time I believed myself to be doing rather well at the whole ‘short horror stories’ thing several years back, most of my writing presence online disappeared due to a sudden robbery of my laptop and most other expensive possessions. In the two or three years since, I’ve dealt with relocations, finding my place as a young man in the workforce, long bouts of depression and anxiety, and a general lack of motivation and purpose in life.

Hence, this page. Since the cost of my living conditions has gone up a few hundred bucks a month and I’m not seeing as much of a return from my new promotion as I would have liked to keep me living as comfortably as I’d like, I figured I’d push something out there to play to the one strength I’ve always found myself to have other than wasting my life away : writing weird stuff for other weird people to enjoy so we can get that skin-crawly sensation every horror fan loves.

Support from people like you will:
  1. Show me that the strange, out-there concepts I used to make are still worth writing about and coming up with. Seeing support for this page would be the push I need to start cranking out horrific tales about mountains of wailing, gibbering mouths and screeching terrors of the night again, having to write on a tiny phone keyboard be damned!
  2. Eventually help me return to a more stable set up so I can get potential content out faster than typing on a mobile phone or having to stop by a library after work. This is more of a long term goal, if this page makes any money at all most of the funds outside of some help for living expenses will be going towards getting me a decent laptop to replace the one I had stolen from me so I can write consistently and efficiently again.
  3. Be literally the biggest motivator ever for me. If even ten people believe the writing shown in my works below is something you want to see more of and quality enough to be worth supporting monetarily, I’ll consider this my calling. I’ve always wanted to break into the writing world and have a deep appreciation for weird fiction, distressing or alien concepts, body horror, all the stuff most modern media doesn’t delve into deeply enough. Seeing encouragement from like minded people might bring me out of my nearly two year long depressive funk enough to actually get working on some quality scares again.
If you’ve even made it this far, you have my deep appreciation. Enjoy the stories I’ve written below, and expect more and better tales of terror if I see the support for stories like this outweighs the inconvenience of formatting and writing everything out on my mobile device.

It’s very easy to tell from the link above that I haven’t written much extensively, but I’ve gotten story of the month for The Children Found a Flower one year on the Creepypasta Wiki, and got many positive responses when I was writing more actively. Unless I end up writing a full scale novel way down the line or something of the sort, nothing I write will have paywalls, and supporting me will always be the decision of the audience.

Thank you for reading, no hard feelings if you cannot or do not want to support me or my peculiar works, and I hope your evenings go undisturbed by the many slick and slimy eldritch things slinking in the dark.

Even the smallest amount of support is a huge step on the way towards making my work more well known. Ten people actively wanting to see more of my stories would have me trying to get at least one short story of indeterminate length out a month. I have some concepts laid out on paper, but actually turning them into little horror nuggets would probably start here.
