About

I am best known as writer/director of the films, The American Astronaut (2001), Stingray Sam (2009), Crazy and Thief (2012), and as singer/songwriter for the musical group The Billy Nayer Show (1989 – 2011). I have created many short films, including the micro-musical RENO, for the Sundance Film Festival’s Global Short Film Project (2007).  I am founder of the global film and arts collaborative, Captain Ahab’s Motorcycle Club. In addition to my own films I have worked as actor and musician in both American and European features. I am currently performing live music for Captain Ahab’s Motorcycle Club.

The Smallest Star is a large ongoing project that includes live performances, recorded music, videos, live broadcasts, podcasts, graphic design, illustrations and a feature film that is being created by a global collaborative. I am the creator and administrator of the collaborative and writer/director of the new feature. The feature film is entitled Small Star Seminar. It shares ideas and themes with my new solo album, Small Star Seminar. The album was written and recorded with the support of patrons at this account.
Current funding from this Patreon account will support new projects which include:
. Tour support for a concert series.
. Incidental costs for a feature film.
. Illustrations and designs to support these projects.
. Expenses, tools and materials.
. RABBIT. A graphic novel being created and distributed episodically at this site.
. Small Star Corp Radio /Live broadcasting @ mixlr.com/the-smallest-star.
. Small Star Seminar videos.
. Bird conservation support videos for jeepneyprojects.org.
As most of you know, I do this work full time, but I hardly ever get paid. With your help I can continue. It would be an honor to have you as my patron.
