We make guerilla street gardens from reclaimed materials and plants discarded throughout the city in a voluntary effort and we need your support!

Our street art planters incorporate permaculture design and planting elements, where each planter contains a mix of edible and pollinator attracting plants. Local artists have collaborated with us to paint the planters and decorate spaces.

Our aim is to connect people with each other, our cities, our innate creativity and the wonder of nature...and a bit of our city's waste. In the process we hope to empower, educate and inspire people. We also run workshops with communities and groups to do the same thing.

In Brixton's Beehive place we've brought colour, nature and life to a vacant expanse of wall and pavement previously used only for propping rubbish and pee-ing against, releasing a space for all to use

Your pledge will help us to maintain this street garden gallery alive and help us to create many more places filled with a bit of natural chaos!

We believe our cities are created by a top-down process, which ignore the unique complexity of relationships which unfold in forgotten, overlooked or under-managed places. We aim to make space for that complex messiness through a hands on collaborative approach, bringing life and meaning to those spaces.

Our main costs incurred which your pledge will help to cover include predominately the costs of tools and transport, but the more you pledge the more activities we can run. The more tools we can afford means we can make more, but also run more workshops with more people. Transport of materials is high and we are investigating DIY bike cargo trailers ... your investment is needed to help make this vision a reality, but, more than anything, if you would like to participate and volunteer your time, please get in touch!

All your help is appreciated, let change our streets and we hope to see you there soon :). See more of our work on facebook and smallworldurbanism.com,
