I'm Philippa Rice and I make these Soft Spot animation videos with help from my partner Luke Pearson. We also both write and draw comics.

Soft Spot is a series of animation videos by me (Philippa Rice) and Luke Pearson.
The videos are a collection of short sequences using different types of animation as well as some puppets and some live action bits.
The main stars are the crochet guys. I crocheted these over several years and bring them to life using stop-motion animation.
We made the first Soft Spot video last year and there are three so far, plus two videos with the crochet guys singing songs.
I really enjoy making these videos and I'd like to make more! A lot of time goes into making each one and in order to make them on a regular basis, I'd need to be making money out of them somehow. So I thought I'd give Patreon a try!
Patreon is a way for you to help support these animations by pledging to pay money for each video we make. In exchange, as well as getting to watch videos that otherwise might not have existed, you get access to updates, sneak previews and behind the scenes info about how the videos were made.
I would like to be able to make one new video a month but I don't know yet if I'm capable of making them quick enough to do that, so for now the Patreon is "per-video".
My plan is to alternate between Soft Spot videos and Crochet Guy videos. I want to keep the length of the videos between 3 minutes and 5 minutes long for now. There's going to be weird new animation bits for you to see, I'll be making a lot of new models and recording new songs, plus every one of my crochet guys is going to get their turn to be a star. Your Patreon pledge may give them their chance to shine!
