Website redesign
$500 per episode
Our current website, 'underthethinkingtree.wordpress.com', has been our main hub for our videos and written stuff and we really need to redesign it, so that means becoming a premium member of Wordpress, buying the domain (something nice like 'housethatjackbuilt.com/co.uk'), and finding new people and content to add to our current roster of creative folks (which is basically me and Sam currently).
Buy New Equipment

That means a lighting set up, a better microphone, and a better camera.

My name is Matt Crowley, and I am a filmmaker and critic from Kent.
I'm been writing film criticism for roughly two years now at my website.
In the latter half of 2010, I dropped out of college, which I was attending to study performing arts, to become a filmmaker and made a few shorts over the proceeding years, before in January of 2013 deciding to add criticism to my hobbies.
I met my best friend, Sam, whilst I was volunteering at a charity shop, and we more or less got on instantly.
After doing criticism in a written format for a while, I decided I wanted do something similar as video content. I asked same if he was interested in working on a long terms project, and he obliged.

So Much for Pathos is a co-creation between myself and Sam Lightwing in which we explore, with a detective's eye, the inner workings of filmmaking and storytelling on a case by case basis.

Beginning in October 2013, we've so far reviewed things such as Adventure Time, The Lovely Bones, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Mean Girls, and Batman Begins.
As content creators, we favour quality over quantity which is why our videos tend to take at least a month to be finished and uploaded. We're very interested in the mechanics of filmmaking, as well as just generally talking about movies. So Much for Pathos is more or less directly in line with me and Sam's interests; philosophy, art, and wry humour.

The ambition of the show is, and always has been, to engage a broader conversation amongst audience members about what we like and why we like it that way, as well as deconstructing the components of a movie that doesn't work. We operate on a case by case basis, and keeping in tone with the detective-y theme of the show, whilst we do take requests, we only handle cases that we personally find interesting, for whatever reason.

By donating $2 to us, you are actively improving the show, as well as our self esteem.
As previously stated, we post as close to a monthly basis as we possibly can, so we hope we won't be to much of a strain on your wallet.

I mean, $2 isn't much to ask for, right? Seriously. Just two measly bloody dollars is all we're asking for per video. We probably should be asking for an extra two dollars for our columns that we write weekly (I write the movie review column, whereas Sam has a topical news blog) but we won't. Why? Because we're really bloody nice, that's why.

Don't give me that look, we are.

And if you really can't afford to spend $2 a month on us, then we'd seriously advise you sell your computer and buy some food. And get your priorities straight while your at it.
So in terms of how cheap it'll be to support us, unless you're homeless, you're laughing.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated, and we thank you for taking the time to read this.
