Monthly-Tube-in-the-Post
$19 or more per month

The New Monthly-Tube -in–the-Post Club is now offered on Patreon ! A different vacuum tube each month, to encourage Making.

All selected tubes are tested and functioning. A simple collection of parts will accompany all tubes, along with spec sheets. This makes a monthly kit that will include:

1. A Vacuum tube, Gas tube, Regulator tube, Audio tube, or other type Electron tube.

2. A Spec. Sheet on the tube, with pin-outs and parameters.

3. A schematic drawing, with info on construction, soldering, assembly.

4. An Explanation page showing where the tube “module” works in an Amplifier.

5. Electronic parts that may be wiring, components, metal hardware, Etc.

These “modules” are very simple to put together. Most of the technology is “old-school”, but has been redesigned to take advantage of the modern 19 inch rack system. Some modules may be used in a 500-series type mounting system. Other “Makers” may prefer to design their own equipment, or use a “bread-boarding system”.

Whatever you decide to do with your Monthly-Tube-in-the-Post kit, all information on how to make it function will be included.

If you are not yet familiar with Vacuum tube technology, join the tube classes and courses offered on the same site. You can study at your own pace, email the quizzes, print-out your own notebook, and get questions answered by the instructor.

All costs on the Patreon Site are monthly charges. Your debit card is charged in the first week of the month, and the tube kits are shipped a few days after. So you will have 30 days to read the material, work with the parts, and assemble the kit.

Remember, electron tubes are devices that work on high voltages, filament voltages, “grid circuits”, and other support circuitry. It usually requires four to six or more tubes to create a complete, working circuit, along with power supplies and hardware. So it takes a little patience and labor before your equipment is up and running.

We all know days and months go by quickly, and to have something built is very rewarding. The time spent at this hobby, along with the educational value, is well worth the effort. Please go to Patreon.com, and join the Monthly-Tube-in-the-Post club.
