Thank you for visiting this page. If you're on the fence about becoming one of my Patreon supporters, let me explain why this is important to me and what benefits you'll receive in return.

First of all, this is what REALLY keeps the show going. I probably don't have nearly as many subscribers on Twitch as you think I do and I receive half of that (Twitch gets $2.50). Patreon on the other hand, takes only a very small portion of what you pledge to me. It's a fantastic way to make sure the Sour Koolaid Show is sustainable and whatever you pledge is greatly appreciated. It is deducted monthly just like a Twitch subscription and you can give as little or as much as you like. You may cancel your pledge or change the amount at any time. It's a really great way to show support.

WHY DO THIS?

The Sour Koolaid Show isn't your typical Twitch channel. I not only use a lot of props, costumes and games to keep things fresh--I also feature a professional touring stand-up comedian EVERY WEEK. I guarantee these comedians a specific amount of money to show up and entertain you, while also allowing them to claim all donations to the show during the hours they are streaming with me. That is usually enough to make it an attractive gig despite having to travel to my somewhat isolated city and book a hotel themselves. I also need to be mindful of my equipment and need to be able to afford new games every once in a while. I drink a lot too. But you know that.

All of this really adds up. I think it makes the show spectacular. It's like nothing else on Twitch and I'm proud of that. Your contribution helps me continue to bring the best entertainment I can to your home and it helps others who cannot afford to support me have the show for free. That's really important to me. I've been broke. I've been homeless, in fact. I've fought battles with depression and suicide and the one thing that kept me going was comedy. Sharing my sense of humor with others and seeing them laugh saved me. It has brought validation and meaning to my life to share my talents with others. When you support me here, you don't just help me, you help those who turn to my channel for a much needed escape. They come to my channel for laughs, for friendship, for support during difficult times. Not all of them can afford to subscribe or donate. But they need the show to go on. You are making that happen behind the scenes.

But not entirely behind the scenes.

I have set up some special rewards for my patrons. Unlike regular subscribers, you've got some special privileges detailed below. You may use ONE PATREON POWER per week. It's my way of saying thank you for going the extra mile for me and for everyone that believes in what I'm doing. Enjoy!

Pledge $5.00 or more per month

STACK IT or DOUBLE DAMAGE!!! -- During an Encounter Table night you may type STACK IT or DOUBLE DAMAGE in chat for any roll. Stacking the roll means I'll keep the roll in effect and add another roll. A roll cannot be stacked more than once (it gets too hard to keep track). Double damage means that a consequence is doubled. For example, Winter Is Coming, Dan paul does a shot of hard alcohol each time he dies. That would become two shots. Double damage is the maximum amount of damage. It cannot be increased by more patrons. STACK IT and DOUBLE DAMAGE can be in effect at the same time.

PUSH -- During an encounter table night, I may not have rolled the encounter you wanted. You may change that by typing PUSH into chat. That allows you to change the roll. Example, if I roll a 10, you may push the roll to a 9 or an 11. You may only push the roll one number up or down. You may also use the STACK IT or DOUBLE DAMAGE powers. But again, choose wisely. You can only use one Patreon Power per week. You may also use PUSH during an RPG Night to change the outcome of one roll.

DANCE or SING -- In the mood for music? During any time while I am streaming you can request a song. If you type DANCE into chat, I will dance to it using the full screen camera. If you type SING, I will attempt a karaoke version of the song. Please have a link to the song on youtube prepared (and if it's SING I'll need a link to the song with lyrics). You may also use any of the Patreon Powers at the 5.00 and 10.00 tiers (STACK IT, DOUBLE DAMAGE, PUSH), but remember, you may only use one power per week.

ENCHANT or CHOOSE -- On Encounter Table nights, you may choose an encounter you would like to see. Type CHOOSE into chat and the number of the encounter. I will do that encounter immediately, so it can be at the beginning of the round or it can straight up interrupt the current encounter and I will switch to yours right away. During RPG Nights, you may type ENCHANT into chat. One character of your choice will roll attack rolls and ability checks with advantage during that evening. So please type ENCHANT followed by the character's name. You may also use any power on the tiers below this one, for example, STACK IT or PUSH but remember that you can only use ONE Patreon Power each week.

TELEPORT or GAME CHANGE -- During any night (except RPG Night) you may type GAME CHANGE into chat and I will stop playing whatever it is I am playing to play what you would prefer. It can be any game in my current library on any system I have. If I don't have the game, I can't play it. I don't want to download new games while streaming, even if you donate the game. On RPG Nights, you can type TELEPORT at any time to transport a character of YOUR OWN faction to any place on the map. Keep in mind if you're trying to save a character that you need to do this before they get to zero hit points or they will still have to make the death saves even if teleported. You may also use any Patreon Powers of lower tiers but keep in mind, you may only use ONE power per week.

THEME NIGHT -- You get to design your own theme night! It can have an encounter table or not have one. I will play the game of your choice or not play any. It can involve whatever costumes and props you like, and I'll do my best to accomodate that. You will need to email all your ideas for your special night to [email protected] We'll set a date together for it and get it done. I will do everything within reason. I reserve the right to not do certain things, but like I said, I really will try my best for you. You can also use any of the previous powers, but remember, only one power per week.

CONTROL  -- You wanna role-play? You may control any character of YOUR OWN FACTION on a role-playing night. We can use Skype if you like (don't have to) to make decisions in real time. You can make your own rolls or have me make them for you. If we're using Skype you are also subject to the Twitch TOS (terms of service) and ROC (rules of conduct). You may only use this power ONCE PER MONTH. However, it does NOT count as your weekly Patreon Power, so you may continue to use any of those along with this one. Pretty bitchin, I know.
