About Spalting Cooperative

Be a part of the spalting cooperative! Help support the Applied Mycology Lab and get access to fungi, pigments, and all the news on new spalting developments. Help direct research and see early results well before they are released to the public.

Full membership for individuals and companies can request specific research projects in the lab such as large scale spalting trials, new wood species spalting trials, wood ID, etc. Funding also supports our undergraduate and graduate students, pays for their school tuition, stipends, and research materials.

All research funded by the spalting cooperative is for the co-op members only until publication, unless otherwise requested by the cooperative members.
Goals
$87 of $5,000 per month
Our new MS student, Paderic, is self-supporting. This means that he pays for all his tuition, books, research materials, etc., and is not provided a stipend.

One of the primary goals of the spalting cooperative is to fund interested students like Paderic so they can become successful scientists without the associated debt. Reaching this goal funds Paderic's MS degree and allows him to focus on his studies, not his bank account.
