Milestone Goals
New sex scene
As a one-off bonus, the first time support goes over $500 for a month, I'll start putting aside time to write a new sex scene in addition to the usual releases. That'll then be released as normal when it's finished - probably a few weeks to a month after I start work.
Voters will get to pick which sex scene gets chosen for this. It could be a planned one or maybe one that isn't in the core plan for Newlife.

Blatant cheating!
I'll add a selection of super-secret cheat codes which will be revealed to all patrons. That way you can lord it over those un-patronly serfs on forums who can't start the game with maximum knowledge or huge sacks of cash. Or you can tell them the codes over PM - they're just super-secret after all, not super-duper-secret.
Prove me wrong!
There's a lot of changes people ask for that I say no to because I'm not personally into them, or because I just don't think they offer enough benefit for the time taken to code them.
If I can make this sort of income from Newlife though, then I think the changes my patrons want should sometmes take precedence over my personal preferences.
If I reach this funding level, then I'll ask voter patrons to choose one or more changes that otherwise might not make it into the game and I'll spend a minor update (5-10 days) working on them.
This will be an ongoing benefit - I'll do another "prove me wrong" release every year that Newlife is in full-time development.

Make your own NPCs
If I reach this amount of funding then I'll add an NPC loader to the game which will take information stored in a suitable file format (maybe XML or JSON) and turn it into an NPC to add to your game. I'll also provide guides on how to create these NPC files and examples that you can base your creations on.
This will let you setup your perfect man (or woman, when female NPCs get added) and have them in your game every time. Put yourself or your partner in the game, add that celebrity or fictional character you have a thing for, even share your creations with other people on forums so your npc alter-ego can have sexy fun with their cute gender-bent player-character :-)

Newlife is an erotic text-based lifesim game where you play as a man who has his gender changed in an improbable lab accident and has to make a new life as a woman.
Newlife's currently in alpha, but it's still playable all the way through from beginning to end. You can still create a character with a huge degree of customisation, go out to clubs, meet men, go on dates, accidentally (or deliberately) get pregnant and of course have lots of sexy fun.
The game's in active development with new content getting added several times a month. The final version is planned to have way more content - I've been working on Newlife for a bit more than a year now and I expect the project to take a total of 3-5 years.
I shouldn't need to tell you about the game here though - it's completely free to download and play. As long as you're old enough to enjoy explicit erotic content, you can get a copy at my blog and try it for yourself!
Why Patreon?
Working on Newlife takes a lot of time and development effort. My financial situation isn't particularly good, and that's something that works to players' benefit because the reasons why it isn't good also mean that I have a lot of time for adult game development.
A 3-5 year project is a major commitment to make without getting any income from it. I do intend to keep on with Newlife regardless, but without financial support I'll eventually need to spend less time on it and more on projects that earn me money - I have bills to pay after all!
By raising money on Patreon I can continue putting long hours into improving Newlife while still making it available for free and as a special bonus, I won't even have to starve!
What do you get?
I like to think that people will support development if they've taken enjoyment from the game and want to show their appreciation. I do think that if you're contributing to support Newlife then you deserve my heartfelt thanks and I certainly intend to offer rewards to show it.
The first reward level is early access. That lets you get hold of new releases of Newlife before they're made publicly available. Considering the amount of extra content that's already gone in there because of your support, I think it's fair that you get to see it just a little bit earlier!
The second reward is voting on new releases. A major update can take several months, so your decision has a big effect on what direction development will take. You'll also get to decide on smaller changes such as choosing a new skill to be added to the game or picking which sex scene is written for the milestone reward.
Finally, if you support at the event lottery level then you also get a chance every month to choose a new event to go into the game. Lottery winners have already made very fun and interesting choices, and it's really exciting for me at the beginning of a month to wonder what the next winner will decide on.
