About

Introduction: What do you do exactly?
Hi! My name is Spyells. Thank you for visiting my page. I'm a blogger and author. I run the blog Warcraftlover. My blog is dedicated to the most successful MMORPG of all time World of Warcraft. The blog was started in May 2019 and it's been a crazy ride. I've published four books and I'm working on a fifth. As a self-proclaimed nerd I love theme parks, movies, Anime, Kingdom Hearts, and Harry Potter.

How long have you played World of Warcraft?
When I was a child my godmother introduced me to video games. The first game I played at her house was Kingdom Hearts on the PS2. It wasn't long before she introduced me to PC gaming and World of Warcraft. At the time I didn't have my own WoW account and I was playing on the free 14-day trial. I was so young back then and PC gaming was difficult for me to grasp. Most of my play time was spent killing bunnies in Elwynn Forest. Fast forward about 4 years later, and I finally got my own World of Warcraft account during the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

World of Warcraft has introduced me to so many amazing people. The game has also gotten me through some rough patches. Without WoW my life would look a lot different right now. The game helped me keep in touch with old friends, and it gave me exhilarating experiences with new ones. My favorite parts of WoW involve exploring the breathtaking world, and learning more about the expansive lore.

How often do you post?

Normally I publish a new blog post once per week. If there's a lot of Warcraft or Blizzard Entertainment news coming though then I might publish 2 or 3 times in a week. My posts don't always have a set day or time they go up, but I normally try and get one out on Monday's, Wednesday's, or Friday's if I publish one. I do take breaks from the blog to enjoy holidays or special occasions, but you can rest assured you'll find new content within 2 weeks.

What if I can't pay each month?

It'd be super awesome if you paid every month. Any contribution from your patronage keeps my blog online and helps the business to grow. But if you're really struggling to keep up patreon gives you the option to alter how much you pay or stop payments.

What will you use the money for?
Mostly I'd use the money for living and to grow my blog. I worked for Disneyland before I decided to pursue writing full-time. The job was fun, but the pay wasn't good and I never had time to go after my passion of writing. My mother has been an excellent source of emotional and financial support, but she only pays for the basic fees of running a blog. A blog requires hosting fees, advertising fees, maintenance fees, and more.

I'd also like to grow my staff. I'm a one woman show and it takes a heavy toll during busy times of year like BlizzCon. So I'd like to hire another staff writer to produce more epic and engaging content more often. My blog could also benefit from hiring an editor. Right now I rely on free programs like Grammarly but they don't catch all the mistakes.

An artist would be a great asset to my blog. I could produce special Warcraft themed fan art for the blog and for you my patreons. I'd also like to expand my blog into YouTube and produce more epic content there. You can consider your patronage as payment for the product I create and not a donation.

Why should I support your writing?

You should support me if you find my writing important and would like for me to keep doing it. If you don't feel that way, then you can spend your money where it counts. Here's a great place to start.

But, if you'd like to help out, know that every little bit counts --even if you can only give $1.

Please email or tweet me if you have any questions.
