I'm a 24-year-old comic artist & author with a BFA in animation.

Hey! My name is Toril Orlesky, alias Starlock, and I'm the person behind Hotblood!, a webcomic about about a centaur in the American Old West.
✦ Hotblood!
"That western centaur comic" is my first real stab at an ongoing webcomic. The story focuses on the relationship between James Rook, a washed out Civil War vet who happens to be a centaur, and his employer Asa Langley, possibly America's most irreverent steel tycoon. I've been drawing it– and updating twice a week– since September 15, 2013, and have been lucky enough to have gotten an extraordinarily positive response! Thanks to this, the first three chapters have been printed, I've traveled all over the country for conventions, and I've met and befriended an incredible group of readers!
Hotblood! is already 3/4 of the way to completion and updates twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12AM EST. It's been available for free online since day one, and that will never change– funding from patrons, however, will guarantee continuing regular updates for everybody. I estimate that the comic will be finished by early 2016, and I hope to print (with the help of Kickstarter) a compilation volume of all four chapters along with a great deal of extra appendices featuring everything from worldbuilding and research to an in-depth look at my work process.

I am currently working on several smaller comic projects that I would like to make available for download on Gumroad once I finish them. Every patron who pledges over $5 will also get a FREE DOWNLOAD of these .pdfs, as well as any short comics I put on Gumroad in the future!
