Just what is this show about?
In 2189, Earth narrowly won a war against extraterrestrials, but at a tremendous price. Two years later, in a distant patch of space, a mysterious explosion kills nearly the entire crew of the science vessel Starship Iris. The only survivor is Violet Liu, an intrepid, sarcastic, terrified biologist.

But as Violet struggles to readjust to life after the Iris, questions abound. Was that explosion really an accident? If not, just what is going on? And why does every answer seem to get more bizarre and more dangerous?

If Violet and her newfound allies want to untangle the truth, they’ll need courage, brilliance, and luck—and honestly, a couple of drinks.

The Strange Case of Starship Iris is a show about outer space, survival, espionage, resistance, identity, friendship, found family, romance, and secrets. (Also, there’s jokes.)

What brings you to Patreon?
Originally, my goal was simple: make a professional-sounding sci-fi audio drama with a massive cast, pay everyone involved at least a little, and release it for free. Easy peasy. However, as we gear up for the second season (and bask in the support we've gotten so far; this community is amazing!), I've started dreaming bigger. What if we paid all of our very talented people something slightly closer to a fair wage? Can it happen? Maybe, with your help!

I'm new to Patreon; how does this work?
You pledge to pay a certain amount of money whenever a new episode comes out. You're only billed once that new episode is available. And in return, you access cool bonus content! Check the sidebar to the right and see if there's something you like.

How many episodes are you making?
I've already made nine episodes, and there's one more left in Season One. Season Two is a go! We plan to release 12 additional episodes in Season Two, and if we reach our next goal (see the side bar to your left), we'll even add some minisodes. Exciting!!

Where can I find out more about this project?
Check out our Twitter, our tumblr, and our webpageThe Strange Case of Starship Iris is also part of Procyon Podcast Network. Procyon has helped me and this show in a thousand different ways. The network's got some other exciting shows, so be sure to check them out, too: Station to Station and Under Pressure.
$1,750 - reached! per episode
SHOOT-FOR-A-DIFFERENT-AND-FARTHER-MOON STRETCH GOAL: thanks to you all smashing my expectations with your amazing generosity, I'm adding a new goal: three minisodes! These would be short episodes, probably about 15 minutes in length, featuring the characters of Starship Iris. They would be fully produced, just like a regular episode, and somewhat standalone.
