You being on this page gives me the drive to keep going (morning and night) to add value to the mace community that is growing exponentially. I feel blessed to have found my purpose and the fuel to keep me going. These types of projects aren't easy but with you it absolutely gets better!
For those who don't know who i am and what i do: Hey! my name is Victoria Islas. I am a steel mace coach and obsessed student of the mace. A few months ago i had this crazy idea to start a podcast on a topic that was so dear to my heart: The Art of Mace Training. Honestly, i wasn't expecting the community to accept me so quickly but then i realized that i had entered a community that was more than happy to join me on this unplanned adventure.
WHY THIS ALL STARTED
This all started because I needed an outlet to keep my head strong. I lost my dad on July 1st, 2017. It was devastating and it shattered my heart. My dad meant a lot to me and i knew that a lot of healing had to take place.
What did my heart tell me to do? To maintain my sanity, to keep grounded - use the mace, my heart said. Then my mind kicked in and set me on a new journey of sharing conversations, workouts and incredibly valuable content. I realized that sometimes the hard things in life lead us down a complete different path.
WHAT I DO AND MY FUTURE PLANS
If you have been following me you know that i work pretty hard to maintain a great brand and to be professional in everything that i deliver and if you haven't been following me, once you do, you will see what i mean. I spend tons of hours coming up with great content, podcast episodes, finding the most incredible guests, and just plain out delivering what you want. I am a one woman show, no outside help. I want to be able to continue to provide exceptional mace value to you and to upgrade the quality as we continue BUT in order for me to realistically be able to do that i need a reliable stream of income to reach SMW goals.
I have this REALLY BIG future goal - to create a 12 part mini-documentary series where i get to physically talk to and interview top mace athletes around the world! I want them to speak to you and i'd like them to come out AMAZING. Give towards this crazy goal i have and i will deliver.
