About

Musings of a Music Historian is a blog where I explore the history, musicians, composers, and academics of the classical music genre. My posts often include my own opinions, such as "Takes My Breath Away" or "The Beautiful Ballet: My Top 5 Favorite Ballet Scores", where I list some of my favorite findings in classical music. Other blogs examine the histories behind composers and certain pieces, and I have the pleasure of being able to interview incredible people who are active in the field. Musings of a Music Historian started off as a vlog titled EnCoda on Instagram where I uncovered rare information about certain classical works. Due to several events, such as my graduating with my M.M. in Music History from Temple University and acquiring the position of Administrative Associate at the Academy of Vocal Arts, my career as a writer became more prominent; EnCoda was disbanded as a result. My success as the chief writer for the Academy of Vocal Arts' AVA Opera Blog inspired me to increase my attention to Musings of a Music Historian, and I am excited to be able to share my discoveries with you.
