An Atheist Reads Audio Podcasts
One of the most common requests I get from viewers of the various An Atheist Reads series is to make them available in audio-only format, for listening on-the-go. When I reach this milestone, I will do just that -- but not by merely releasing the audio of the previously released videos. I'll record fresh, new, high quality audio versions of very An Atheist Reads series to date, starting with An Atheist Reads The Case for Christ, and continue to record audio podcast versions of new series as I produce them!
Live Weekly Podcasts
Speaking of podcasts, when I reach the $2000/month funding level, I'll
do something I've wanted to do for a long time now, and start
broadcasting a weekly live audio podcast. That means not only a
live show featuring myself, but also guests, calls from listeners, the
whole deal. It's been a goal of mine for awhile now, and with your help I
can make it a reality, and do it right.
Upgrade Video Production Equipment
My current production setup is awesome for what it is, but a larger
reliable monthly income would give me enough breathing room above bills
and necessities to invest in newer, better cameras
(and multiple cameras, to boot, which would be awesome for
shooting interviews and multiple-person videos and other fun stuff I
can't really do at the moment), better lenses, better lighting, better sound recording equipment, enabling
me to improve the quality of the videos I'm already producing, and
expand into areas that are currently out of my reach.
About
I've been more or less a full-time YouTuber since 2011, producing regular content on a wide variety of subjects, posting a new video every day, Monday through Friday, all year round. My main focus is talking about atheism and religion, with a healthy portion of popular culture, a bit of politics and a dash of science thrown in for good measure.
Oh! And I make these odd little videos where I talk to stuffed animals. They're sort of their own thing. Anyway, I think they're funny.

Since 2010 I've been fortunate enough to run a YouTube channel that reflects my own thoughts and feelings on everything from atheism and religion, to politics, to movies, to science, to oddball things I find funny or interesting for some reason. My YouTube work continues to be the most creatively fulfilling thing I've ever done. I'm here because I want to keep doing this. I want to do this better
than I'm currently doing it, and I want to do better for my work and
myself as I go on doing it. This is the only thing I've ever felt like I
was really good at. If I'm not doing this, I don't know what else I'm
doing.
So I'm asking for some help. My resources are limited, but I do my best with what I can. A larger income from the channel (which is where you lovely and so very much appreciated patrons come in) means more resources. More resources mean not only potential for more videos (and as packed as my production schedule currently is, I have ideas for stuff I would love to do, that I think would be amazing, that I just can't afford at the moment), but better videos, higher production quality, the ability to branch out and shoot some things at locations other than my apartment or the immediate vicinity, to broaden the possibilities of what I'm able to do as a writer and a producer.
If you're reading this and you're one of my viewers already, thank you. I feel like I say that a lot. The thing is, I don't know what else to say. You folks have no idea what it means to me that you're there.
