Strat-edgy Productions is aiming to create an online environment for intelligent discussion of design methodology, philosophy and literature through the lens of game and movie critique.

Paul William Fassett is the writer of several short stories that you've never read, as well as the future writer of stories you have not read yet. His debut novel, The Void Knight, has not come out yet, but when it does, Paul has assured me that it will be the all-time best-selling novel of the nineteenth century. Mr. Fassett is also a prolific illustrator, whose most recent works can be found in his desk drawer and hanging on the refrigerator of his mother's kitchen.

Paul has been the director of short films you haven't seen yet, as well as the writer of music you probably don't want to hear. I know what you're thinking: “Wow, what an amazing guy. I wonder if he's single?”

Yes he is, but not by choice.

Paul lives in Apopka, Florida, with his girlfriends Lefty and Righty, who never leave his sides.

Who I really am is a writer. I write. I edit. Then, I write some more. If I am lucky, the things I write get published. I'm not very lucky.

I have been told that I am a jack of all trades. I have dabbled in many disciplines including Illustration, Photography, Music, and Acting, but my true love is literature and game design.

My dream is to cover my bed in dollar bills and roll around on top of them. Barring that, I will use your contribution to increase the production quality of my video essays. In time, my hope is to have enough resources to create high quality short films and video games, as well as behind-the-scenes and tutorials on the various methods I use to create these pieces.

The real dream is to take this show on the road and open my audience up to the wide world of creators in both North and South America. My hope is that eventually, I will be able to make feature length documentaries that focus on the issues that affect the world around us.

Your contributions will go towards camera equipment, editing software, the purchase of games for review, and for the future, flights to interview subjects of videos, or to investigate subjects of videos.

Specifically:
Manfrotto Fluid head tripod
Nikon d7200
Nikon 35mm f1.8
Rig Wheels Rail Dolly
Go Pro
Persistent Lighting system for indoor interviews
Large Diffuser screens
Drone for overhead establishing shots
Monthly cost of Adobe Creative Suite

The goal is for the channel to move away from using footage from news broadcast, or royalty free video, and concentrate on filming my own footage so that future videos are not copyright claimed by anyone but me. (This has been a problem)

I try to produce a video essay once every two weeks, but with a full-time job this is not always possible. My goal is to eventually produce content on a weekly basis. Patrons will only be charged for video essays, and they will only be charged a maximum of 4 times a month.

Strat-edgy Productions will never compromise the integrity of its critiques by accepting sponsorship that may have an impact on its opinions. No conflicts of interest, in other words.

43% complete
This will allow me to branch out a bit and do content that deviates a bit from video games. Video game essays are easy to do because the footage I need is readily available, but to branch out into documentaries and more social / political videos, I need equipment, not to mention time. This stretch goal would allow me to at least start filming more of my own footage for use in future videos.
