Hey there, I’m Kristin. I’ve been making art for fifteen years. I’ve exhibited internationally, hold an MA and PhD, and have taught at Oxford University. My work has been in books and won some prizes. And I’ve made everything from public artworks with museums to a one-hole miniature golf course in a closet.

I’m making independent and passionate contemporary art – from architectural installations to drawings. Each project relates to the next a bit like a jigsaw puzzle. Some of my past work is archived here.

This is a tough time for artists. Our culture rewards instant gratification, clickbait and selfies, and nearly all art business models are succumbing to this immense pressure. Art is treated as a commodity, and the slower, thoughtful and engaged work we need most has fallen by the wayside.

Did you know that women make up ~80% of graduating MFA classes, while contemporary art galleries represent just 17% women, if that? The higher you look, the fewer women, and the disparity in pay and opportunity becomes worse. As women advance in art it only gets harder to be taken seriously as creators. LET’S CHANGE THAT.

Your patronage equals less hustling for freelance work. It means time in the studio, more drawing and making, more work on brand new stuff.

Now is the time for challenging, reflective, and thought-provoking art. Let’s get it made.
