<h2><strong>What is Supaplex?</strong></h2><br>
Supaplex was made in 1991. It is a tile-based puzzle game, a much more advanced clone of BoulderDash. You are Murphy. You collect infotrons, avoid getting crushed by zonks, run form snik-snaks. Supaplex is a challange for your intelligence and your dexterity. While the game itself contains just a few elements the complexity of the game is in the levels. There are 111 original levels and over 4000 levels made by fans.

Platform and Device Independent, Web based, yet Offline-enabled</strong><br>

Current popular clones are device-specific or platform-specific. For example Megaplex is an only PC/Windows desktop game. Brainyplex is a web-based Flash game. It will not work on mobile devices. Supaplex Online would be created using free technologies (HTML5, Canvas, Javascript) that are platform and device independent, so it will work on every platform and every device that can run a modern browser.

Original Supaplex uses 16x16 square for each element. Megaplex uses 32x32. Brainyplex's author mentions that players complain that graphics are not too impressive. Supaplex Online would use up to 512x512 square. Graphics are already designed! New graphics are designed using vector paradigm, so actually there is no limit of how big final graphics could be, but 512px is enough to fill a 5K monitor with 1:1 gamefield. Of course you do not need a 5K monitor. Supaplex Online will work great on every screen size. <br>

Original Supaplex contained a set of bugs that instead of breaking the game enchanced it. In Supaplex it is possible to clone zonks, build invisible bridges with orange disks pushed over enemies. Many of these bugs actually are tricks that are required in some of fan-made levels. Some clones fail to reproduce these advanced movements, due to their unexpected nature. I managed to get my hands on a decompiled Supaplex code that perfectly simulates original Supaplex. <strong>Complete collection of over 4000 Supaplex levels<br>

</strong>Original 111 levels are a great challange for an uninitiated Supaplex player. Even with perfect gameplay it takes over 7 hours to solve all levels. Completing all 4000 fan-made levels is a challange of completely different magnitude, as it requires couple hundred hours of gameplay and absolute familiarity with advanced movements/tricks that originated as glitches/bugs.<br><br>

Unification of many tile-based games under Supaplex<br>

Supaplex itself is a Boulder Dash clone. Much more complex one, but still Supaplex misses<br>
some elements that exist in Boulder Dash. I intend to add new elements to Supaplex Online. How awesome it would be to trap virus-like blobs under a pile of zonks so it transforms to infotrons (like Boulder Dash's ameboa into diamonds) or drop zonks onto converter ports to convert them to infotrons (like stones dropped on magic wall in BoulderDash). This would not be limited to BoulderDash. Sokoban, Emerald Mine, XOR, Chip's Challenge – all of these games could be ported to Supaplex, to create one unified experience that spans thousands of levels.

Original Supaplex allowed players to create recordings of their gameplay. This feature will be included. Recordings will be saved automatically and will be accessible by other players.<br>

Extensive level customisation</strong><br>

A styling system, so level makers could replace all elements' graphics. Newly created style might just change circuit board's color from green to blue or could completely redesigning everything! Aside from graphics other things could be overriden too, like music or sound effects. Every level file could have a potential to look and feel like completely different game. <h2><strong style="background-color: initial;">Copyright issues</strong></h2>

Supaplex is old. Company that made Supaplex does not exist anymore and so does the publisher, but legal rights still belong to someone. Despite this the game is available for free and there are already multiple clones of it. Some clones that can be found on Steam and iStore are not free.

I think at this point no one would mind another free-to-play clone.

I already managed to beat all major obstacles towards the goal of recreating Supaplex. I have Supaplex source code written in C language that is 100% compatible with original game, which was proven my running all the demo recordings through it. I have deep understanding of game mechanics. I already designed most of the new graphics. I have a 50-pages long specification of Supaplex. I already decoded Supaplex level files and demo files – they are ready to be imported to Supaplex Online. I wanted to re-create Supaplex before I even wrote my first line of code in my life. Over a decade and a half passed since that time. Now I have both the know-how and determination to do this.
