Started supercharge.info in 2014 when people in the forums were tracking the initial supercharger build-out by drawing dots on a static image (adding a new dot and re-uploading the image manually after each new opening). Thought I could put together something more user friendly.
Have always wanted two things for the site:
Going forward there are a number of features I would like to add:
This is really just a hobby for me. I'm generally not comfortable asking for money. But with the recent google maps cost increase options are limited. Maps costs were over $1000 for the month of October. Have reduced the cost by by about 75% by reorganizing the site a bit and disabling some features. To be sustainable, and to re-enable all features, I need about 1% of those who visit supercharge.info monthly to become a patreon.
Have always wanted two things for the site:
- Show people that are new to Tesla that an electric vehicle can work for them-- that is contribute to the mission of accelerating the transition to electric vehicles, if only a little bit. Give people confidence that the networks is expansive and growing.
- Provide a site for those like me that are just generally interested in the stats and pace and expanse of this suddenly emerging new global charging network.
Going forward there are a number of features I would like to add:
- The ability to mark visited supercharges, show only those you have visited, and to share a map of your visited superchargers. For those interested in participating: leader boards for the most superchargers visited ever, this year, this month.
- The ability to share saved routes with others.
- Many other possible improvements: https://github.com/kdwink/supercharge.info/issues

Goals
150 of 200 patrons
This number of patrons would cover expenses with a comfortable margin and allow me to focus on adding new features.
