Super! returns to quarterly issue production!
Oh man, this is where things get real! We'll be rocking out a page every other day (working full time) and pumping it through every stage of production. Things will really heat up with our behind the scenes Patron page access!
Return to Print!
Stan Lee once said, "Comics are like boobs. They look great on the computer, but I'd rather hold one in my hand." We wholeheartedly agree. At this goal, we'd be able to meet printing costs and other hidden costs to printing like UPCs or ISBN numbers.

Instead of complaining about the lack of continuity, pointless shock character deaths, overabundance of decompressed storytelling, or an almost complete lack of FUN in the superhero genre , a group of talented artists set out to do something about it. The result was the first story arc of Super!: a modern superhero epic.
And people loved it. Seriously, check out our reviews from national sources: http://www.super-comic.com/reviews/ and check out what these YouTube comic critics thought of it:
The story of SUPER! follows a ragtag team of amateur heroes as they struggle to make a name for themselves in a universe dominated by more popular, established teams. In the grand tradition of "the Venture Bros." and "Mystery Men", SUPER! is a loving homage to the genre that knows when to laugh at itself and isn't afraid to poke fun at comic tropes along the way.
What kind of craziness and chaos took place in the first five issues? There were mad scientists, hockey fights, bar fights, attacks on the superhuman retirement home, blasts from the past and blasts from the present, giant apes wearing gladiatorial gear, 5 on 7 superhero slugfests, and oh-mah-gawd we're just going to stop before we hurt ourselves!
Each page must go through writing, penciling, inking, flatting, coloring, lettering, and editing stages, and there are 28 pages in each issue of Super (27 and cover), running through a total of 4 - 5 artists who must treat that page like it's their full time job to make it amazing!
Even with many of the artists working for reduced rates, each issue costs almost $10,000 to produce. So, in making our first 5 issues, we ran up a lot of these costs ourselves... to the point where our only choice was to slow down.
Why Patreon? We've used Kickstarter in the past, and we love our Kickstarter backers, but Patreon will allow for our attention to be focused solely on creating the best superhero comic in the world, which is right where it should be. The rewards are tailored in such a way that we can fulfill them just by making the comic, and that should not only increase production, but will also improve our communication with you, our fans and Patrons!
If you've read our comic or simply believe in our cause, please become our Patron and help keep this crazy train on the tracks! Every dollar will help, and is greatly appreciated.
