I am a Christian musician and Billboard contest award-winning songwriter who is influenced by such artists as Billy Joel, Elton John, Ray Charles, Jim Brickman and Lionel Ritchie. So if you like piano-based adult contemporary/pop/rock music with a Christian-based theme, you may like my music.

I created this page because I not only want to share my music, but my message that each of us can have more than a religion, but a relationship with God. We can be more than just casual or day-to-day Christians, but everyday Christians striving to act on faith and living out our lives as God intended for us.

I haven't always been a faithful Christian. I'm just a normal, everyday person with ups and downs. Some days are better than others. Some days just plain suck. But I believe that God is still good and has a plan for me...for all of us. We just have to keep moving forward in our journey, our walk with Jesus Christ. God knows my highest moments and my heartfelt sorrows. And only he can heal me and redeem my sins in preparation for a better world here and for the world to come.

About 15 years ago, I created my first EP titled Carlos Tabora: 5 Now, 6 Later. It featured 3 full songs and 2 piano instrumentals. I released this EP as a teaser to help fund the production of the full album, Statement of Faith. But life got in the way, and I never finished the album. This is a shame because each of the full songs on the EP led to different musical accomplishments including: 1) Winning the Billboard World Songwriting Contest in the Gospel/Contemporary Christian category; 2) Landing a single song publishing agreement with a Nashville-based music publisher; 3) Getting a cut on a CD released by a former Star Search contestant.

However, I made some poor life decisions and didn't capitalize on the opportunities that God had given me. Yes, I have regrets too.

But I'm back to my passion of writing songs, and not just any songs. I'm determined more than ever to complete my Statement of Faith album which is intended to take you on a journey through life, love, loss and redemption. It's not only my journey, but it really could be anybody's journey in life.

But I need your help to complete and produce the songs. Alas, I'm not a singer and not a skilled musician. I'm a songwriter first and foremost. So the songs you hear on the Carlos Tabora: 5 Now, 6 Later EP feature top singers and performers to create the best and most moving experience possible. Each fully-produced song costs close to $1,500 to full produce and master.

Become a patron and support my effort to complete the 11 song Statement of Faith album and release it in late 2018. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at my musical journey to complete each song and see what it's like to work with a producer to get the songs finalized and radio-ready.

I hope you'll join this "everyday Christian" on my journey to complete what I believe God intended me to do. You can help make this happen and help spread my message of hope and redemption to those who need it the most too.
