If you want to have healthy relationships in your life the key is to do as much good for the relationship, and admit when you are wrong. When you are selfish and inconsiderate to the other person, you will quickly sabotage your relationship with them. In the past, I would struggle to admit when I was wrong. Because of this, I didn't have the best relationships, and I would often hold grudges over stupid and petty little things. Today, I try and always take responsibility for my mistakes, and always apologize when I am selfish or inconsiderate. Not only does this help to maintain healthy, productive relationships with the people I love, but it also takes the weight off of my chest knowing that I did the right thing. In honor of my 15th wedding anniversary, I recorded a clarinet solo with piano accompaniment of "The Young Prince and the Young Princess" theme from the third movement of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's symphonic work "Sheherazade," which is one of my wife's favorite classical works.

How do you react when someone insults you or tries to bully you? In the past, I would often escalate the situation or insult the other person back when someone would try to bully me, especially online. I also found that I would put myself into these situations to be bullied by acting arrogant and inconsiderate. Now I try to avoid these situations all together. When I do find myself being bullied or insulted, I have found that the best way to respond is with love and understanding.

This prelude originally appeared in Muzio Clementi's book Introduction to the Art of Playing on the Pianoforte in the late 18th century. It is an excellent study in arpeggiated passages and pedaling, as well as a simple and expressive piece of music.

The August creation is here. This will probably be a double-header, since this song has a kind of twin.  These two songs are really new, were written back to back, and are both in the key of C - C for "contemplative" - haha.  

This one's called "Light of Day" and, rather than Part II, I decided to call the other "Light of Dusk." Ya'll, I had so much trouble getting this recorded so, although the sound isn't perfect, I'm just glad I got it recorded at all.  Thank you so much for supporting me so I can do this.
