I have finished building and am now voyaging in SV Omily my 36 foot sailboat.  For the last two years I have been sailing and visiting many places from Puget Sound in Washington State to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.  Next month (August 2018) we will be sailing from Portland, Oregon USA south with a couple of months visiting in the San Francisco Bay area then on to the Sea of Cortez for a few more months before heading south again on the way to Chile.  I have recently arrived in Portland after a  voyage non-stop and single-handed from La Paz, Baja California Sud, Mexico to Astoria, Oregon where I checked in with US Customs.  The voyage took 41 days and 13 hours from La Paz to Astoria and covered over 3000 nautical miles. I am in my 70's and single.  Even though the recent voyage was single-handed I intend to welcome crew aboard for future voyages.  Please visit my web site to see the boat under construction and details of my travels thus far:   napmarine.com

Goals
0% complete
$500 per month  to provide funding to keep SV Omily in Voyage ready condition.  To provide for ongoing maintenance, replacement or repair of equipment as necessary, adding or upgrading current equipment, sails and other sailboat gear.  This goal is also to improve videos, pictures and documentation of voyages while underway along with editing and publishing the experiences for the education, entertainment and enjoyment of my Patrons.  Also Omily has in the past purchased basic school supplies and distributed them to children in rural communities in the Sea of Cortez where they have been received with great appreciation.  With Patron support this project can be greatly expanded.  Basic supplies have included pencils, colored pencils, paper, colored paper, pencil sharpeners, scissors, rulers, paste, erasers and colored chalk.  Children all over the world are often lacking sufficient consumable supplies;  local budgets are often over stressed, even in the US.  As a former teacher I often reached into my own pocket when we ran out of some basic thing.   Please consider supporting this project.
