We'll commit to at least two road shows a year somewhere in the US with Lem along for the ride. Local meetups, author interviews, and con coverage galore!

The Sword and Laser (S&L) is a science fiction and fantasy-themed book club, video show and podcast, started by Veronica Belmont and Tom Merritt. The main goal of the club is to build a strong online community of sci-fi / fantasy buffs, and to discuss and enjoy books of both genres.

Hello book lovers!
Sword & Laser is a book club, audio podcast, Google Hangout and a book publisher! Each month, we select a science fiction or fantasy book to read together with our audience, discuss the latest happenings in the world of genre fiction, and interview authors with your questions!
So why do we need your help? Tom and Veronica are both independent creators, and finding regular advertisements for the show is difficult (since we're so niché). We want to continue be able to devote tons more time into developing and growing the show, since we know there are many readers out there looking for like-minded folks.
After two seasons of the video show (the second of which we crowdfunded) we finally had to break down our set... but that doesn't mean we want the video show to end! We'd love to take Lem on the road to conferences and author events, and have amazing discussions with writers all over the world. Going to shows like DragonCon is amazing, but Lem's food is extremely expensive.
