I enjoy creating new worlds. Sometimes, those new worlds are best expressed in stories. Other times, a new world is best experienced with others in a game.
Much of the stuff that I write is fantasy, but fantasy does not always involve swords, magic and faerie creatures of various kinds. Fantasy, to be, has varying level of the supernatural involved. In high fantasy works, I tend to have swords, magic and faerie creatures. In low fantasy works, the supernatural elements can be more subtle. For example, in series of my stories that includes A Fistful of Diamonds and The Trial of Jeremiah Matherson,  the supernatural element in both stories involves small details about the neighborhood cat. (Don't worry, Numbers the cat does not speak in the story.)
I also enjoy making new games with friends and I want to share them here. I enjoy games like Apples to Apples and Wise or Otherwise. I also enjoy various forms of Chess, Senet and countless other boardgames. I also enjoy sitting down to a good role-playing game to tell a story. Some stories are heroic and feature saving the world from some menace while others are going through dungeons and taking stuff. Hey, fun is all in the people you play with and some nights it is just better to let go and not be so serious. :)
Games posts will feature things that you can make at home with common game pieces you have at home. For example, The Dice Suit is a game that uses a standard deck of cards and normal six-sided dice you can get anywhere. Role-playing game materials will feature PDFs of things you can use in your own game.
Until August, everything will be free. Content is advertising and my publishing resume up to this point is pretty thin. (A couple short stories, a poem and a few RPG articles.) I look forward to meeting others. Feel free to drop me a line.
