Art empowers. Art influences. Art has the power to soothe or enrage. Art inspires. And as Picasso said - Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.
My personal mission is to inspire and awaken possibilities in others. I do this not only through creating art, but also by helping people get in touch with their creative selves, and helping them live more authentic lives. I believe I'm doing exactly what I am here to do.
I'm looking for partners to join me on this artistic journey. Being a patron means that you help bring art and beauty into the world. Your support will help ease the burden of worrying about bills and trying to get students through the door, and free up some time and energy to create art. It will also allow me the opportunity to bring to life some projects that have been at the back of my mind for some time. Sculpture, online classes, interactive webcasts... I could go on and on.
"If a patron buys from an artist who needs money (needs money to buy tools, time, food), the patron then makes himself equal to the artist; he is building art into the world; he creates." -Ezra Pound
Crowd-funding is a really cool thing. No longer does an artist need one or two wealthy patrons for support. These days almost anyone can be a patron of the arts, and combined with the rest of the crowd, funding can happen in a big way. Power to the people!
Think about it: for less than the price of one fancy-schmancy coffee per month, you can be an art patron!! How cool is that?!
Here's how it works: pledge whatever amount you like. At the beginning of each month, you're charged that amount. In the mean time, you and I keep in touch on my patrons page. Depending on your level of support, I'll email or snail mail you stuff. Stuff!! And/or you come and take a class with me. And/or you download some images to print... the possibilities are endless. :)
Think of it as a tip jar or a subscription - you're supporting my work, not paying for the artwork itself. And you get goodies...
