Please Don't Stop the Music
If donations reach this total, I can now set aside the time required to record a new cover song or original piece every month! Yay! If you're from youtube and have been feeling abandoned, here's your chance to help me bring you this content more regularly.
Smaller, quickly-completed projects like this also help keep me motivated throughout the course of a long undertaking like a video game.

Fill Some Galleries
I will rent at least one Toronto gallery for a weekend to showcase paintings by me and other local artists. Local Patrons who stop by will be given many hugs and thank you's.
Help my Mom Recover from Murphy's Law
In May 2014, my mom's house, car, shop and farm burnt down, destroying everything she had. Problems with insurance meant there was zero financial compensation. Then she was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer. Sometimes, life.
Past $500/month, my basic needs will be met and 50% of all surplus revenue made here will go to my mother.

Coming at You from the Kispiox Valley
Once or twice a year, I will visit home and work remotely from the secluded regions of the Bulkley and Kispiox Valleys. I will chronicle it extensively and share local history, myths and current news in conjunction with my mother, who is a teacher, and her own mentors.
I will continue delivering all regular content, though its nature may occasionally be altered-- eg. cover songs and performances will involve more piano and acoustic guitar due to technical constraints of The Boonies.

Hire Animators
As it stands, Mage_2 is equipped with charmingly amateur animations, but if I can cover expenses, a professional animator will be brought onto the team to improve the existing animations (walking, resting, basic attacks) and add new ones (more attack moves, spells, jumping, falling, and more).

About
I'm Caitlin, also known as Tab, or Elision. I'm a Toronto-based artist and game developer.
I've won the ABCDE Youthwright competition, the Moira Vime Memorial piano scholarship, and have placed first in the Pacific Northwest Music Festival three times. This May, I was recipient of a scholarship which granted me an all-access pass to the 2015 Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco. I have painted promotionally for such companies as 20th Century Fox and CNN.
Go check out the rewards I offer for donations, and I hope to see you as a patron!

THE ONGOING MISSION...
Hello; I'm Caitlin, a Toronto-based artist and game developer. I'm from the remote wilderness of BC, which means I've fought boredom (and bears) and won. Let me help you do the same!

To combat boredom, one must become in tune with either nature (and bears), God, drugs, or the arts. I chose a couple of those things, but mostly the arts. I consume and create many fictional narratives, through various media.
Painting;
Music;
More music;
Video shorts;
Piano performance;
Stories;
and video games.
(I also like making hyperlinks.)
Patreon is to help my continued pursuit of these projects while living in a city which costs significantly more than the remote wilderness of BC, but where I have the opportunity to play live shows, join game development communities and share my art with more than the wandering moose and B'gwus.

WHAT PATREON WILL GET YOU
The rewards listed below are what every individual patron gets in return for the corresponding pledge amount. The goals in the left sidebar are cumulative rewards which will go to every patron, if the corresponding monthly pledge total is achieved.-Livestreamed Work
$1/month
Twice a week I'll livestream a few hours of my work at twitch.tv. Come hang out and watch, for the small small fee of $1. You can see the various aspects of making a game in Unity, or just marvel at how much coffee I drink! (Actually, you can do this for free anyway. But, I mean, wouldn't you rather pay?)
Doing this makes you cool.
-Unpublished Sketches
$2/month

Unfinished drawings, doodles, ideas gone horribly wrong, etc. You’ll basically be looking at the margins of my notebooks in high school. What a treat! I’ll upload at least one per week here. Some of them might also show up later on social media, but patrons will see them first!
This option makes you really cool.
Music and Band Outtakes
$3/month
Every other Thursday, I’ll upload a few short video clips of music practice or performance with my band, piano playing, mucking around in Ableton, etc, from over the week.
This tier is Level 3 Cool.
Bedtime Stories
$6/month
If you like reading, being read to, having your ear whispered into, and/or ASMR….
Every Sunday, I’ll read aloud a short story, chapter or excerpt of something (in public domain or with permission), and upload the recordings here. A few weeks later, I’ll upload them publicly to youtube. But you know: here it's special. Patrons can also give feedback on what you'd like to hear next.
Currently reading: Stardust by Neil Gaiman.
Enemy Stat Sheets!
$8/month
Early drafts of stat sheets and monster concepts from Mage_2 will be uploaded here. Go “ooo” and “ahhh” over the sketches! Puzzle over the terminology! Memorize strengths and weaknesses! Be inspired to start playing D&D! One per month.
This is the coolest option yet.
Timelapse Paintings
$10/monthOnce a month, I will upload a timelapsed video of one of the month's paintings, from start to finish. Ooo, ahhh!
Donating $10 also unlocks you being Ultra Cool.
I'm currently playing: Quest for Glory, The Battle of Sol, Dragon Age: Inquisition and various indie games. Pillars of Eternity is next on the list.
Livedraws
$15/month
The last Saturday of every month, for 45 mins I’ll play some music I like and draw stuff that you watching patrons suggest. In moderation. Be nice, or else. The schedule on this is variable, depending on what works for everyone.
Donating this amount upgrades you from Cool to Awesome. Congrats!
The Banner of Evolving Patrons
$25/monthIMAGE COMING SOON...
Anyone donating $25 or more will have a caricature of her or his self added to the Banner of Evolving Patrons, which will be digitally displayed in my twitch channel as a public thank you. Every month, those already on the banner will have some added detail or accessory.
Imagine The Last Supper painting, but every month the disciples acquire hats, longer hair, different shading, etc, etc.
Anonymous patrons or those who don't want their likeness added should message me so I know, and they will be drawn as imaginary creatures or not at all.
You've Got Mail! Real mail!
$100/month (4 max)
If you’re donating this much: first of all, thank you so much. I probably don't even need to tell you how awesome you are at this point; you must know. But still: you rock.
Every month, you can select one of my paintings or illustrations that you like, shoot me a message with your mailing address, and I’ll send you a high-quality, mega-large print of your chosen drawing, with some notes and scribbles on the back (or front, if you’d like), and a small story about the illustration. You can make a photo album!
Each of these rewards is cumulative. Elaboration below.
