Tad DeLay is creating theory on the eve of society's collapse

“I wish my philosophy class could have been more like this.” It’s the most encouraging line I hear after talks or when meeting readers. Philosophy should be open to anyone and not limited by the amount of time to spare in traditional learning environments. That’s why I write books on both academic and more accessible tracks. This space is another venue toward the goal of opening up theory to the public.

Patreon is a way for me to create flexibility. I've taught in the university classroom while researching and writing for years now. These are such important aspects of my vocation, but they have limits. Affiliate faculty like me must stitch together courses at multiple universities to stay afloat. With enough of your support I'll be able to drop down to a normal, full-time teaching schedule and devote more to you who've found my work helpful. I want to research and write while creating courses, talks, essays, and seminars to connect with more people who want to discuss old ideas and new research.

I want to run courses online exploring psychoanalytic theory, political philosophy, and theology—fields with too little space in the modern university context.
