What we do

Sam and Simon are two friends who are trying to do interesting things with their lives. Sadly, life keeps throwing boring things at them instead, such as the need to earn a paycheck, hack the monkey impulses of their own brain chemistry, and occasionally do some exercise (because otherwise they'll end up FAT and ALONE and also DEAD, apparently).

Sam and Simon compare notes about how to be more awesome at the boring stuff, so that they can do as little of it as possible. They record these conversations and put them up on the internet. Think of it as a productivity podcast for people who hate productivity podcasts.

This often leads to rambling reflections about how the world is changing and what any of it's for, really.

Why we need your monies

You excellent humans are what keeps us going. When you support us, you're telling us that you value what we're doing, and making it possible for us to do it better.

Get us to say something
Choose 150 words and we'll read them for you on the show. Your words can include your brand name, a quote you like, hell, even smut and erotica. But we reserve the right to refuse to read Star Trek slashfic aloud.

Fame and glory
We'll both give you a shout-out on Twitter. Simon has about a bazillion twitter followers.

Hand-written note of love
We'll send you a hand-written note to say thank you, and actually send it via a real-life postman. If you like, we'll throw in a limerick with your name in it. Warning: Sam writes really bad limericks.

Be a celebrity
Be the face of Take Back the Day for a week. Send us a photo and we'll use it as our album art for that episode.

Pick a topic for our show
If you pledge $12/episode, we'll give you a chance to pick the topic for one of our shows. You can ask us to discuss a particular question you have, too, and we'll give you a hat-tip by name.
We're obviously limited by the amount of shows we make, though, so you might have to wait a little while.

Invitation to our Trello board, where we plan episode ideas, collect notes and discuss things we think are interesting. At this level, you help to shape our content and be a part of our show.

Our undying gratitude (and the dubiously valuable chance to hang out with us)
You must be an exceptionally intelligent and sexy human being. We'd love to meet you. If you live in a city where either of us happen to visit (Simon travels a lot) we'd love to take you out for a beverage of your choice (except if your choice is human blood). If you live somewhere far away or weird, we'll hang out with you on Skype, because it's almost like the same thing except without Sam's odd body odour.
Goals
$5 of $100 per podcast
We commit to releasing a new episode of Take Back the Day every week.
