WHY?
this patreon is intended to supplement my work. i post reports and analysis direct to twitter. my reason for this method is because editors tend to try repackaging information in a way that hinders comprehensive context, and when i report on the ground, doing so direct to twitter as-it-happens allows you to experience the situation unfolding in realtime.

MONEY STUFF
financial instability has prevented me from pursuing meaningful work in the past. i'm hoping to break that cycle so i can focus 100% of my efforts on getting better at reporting, monitoring, and documenting activist and extremist movements.

depending on who you ask, i'm a widely reviled millennial writer/labor activist/low wage worker/visionary genius. i've written for Elle, Allure, The Guardian, Mic, Cracked, Vice, Fusion, the NY Post, and i’m sure some others i’m forgetting. past writing primarily focuses on the precariat and our societal relationship to precarity. i’m a card carrying member of the IWW and the Freelance Journalist’s Union. you can find all that stuff on my site, which i need to update but haven't.
