Hey guys,

As some of you will know, Talking LaLiga is a project that has been running since the start of the 2017/2018 LaLiga season. After taking the decision to base ourselves in Spain as journalists, we felt that we would be well placed to give you insight from in and around Spanish football, with no onus placed on the big two.

There is no pedestal for any club. Each one gets featured in our weekly recap podcasts, and we are just as likely to write about a defender from Getafe, a Spanish under-17 international or a top European star who participates in the Champions League.

Since starting our podcasts in August, we have received far greater support and interaction than we had planned for. Our desire to provide something to the Spanish football market was out of motivation to create somewhere that we could talk about what we liked, analyse the games we enjoyed most and ultimately not to worry about shoehorning any particular names or teams into our headlines and SEO text.

From initially having just a podcast in mind, as well as some videos in the format of a side project we worked on during Spain's Under-21 Championship journey in Poland, we have since launched our own website - www.talkinglaliga.com. It has become clear to us that there is a real demand for what we produce. There is the potential to build a community of like-minded enthusiasts, and that really excites us.

Our weekly LaLiga recap podcast, bonus pods on European competitions or La Roja and our new Patron Q&A podcast remain free to listen to, as well as any videos we upload to our Facebook page or YouTube channel - plus the written content on our site. Patrons, however, will get some exclusive content and perks.

Throughout the season, we will be recording podcasts, shooting videos and writing articles while we travel to different matches, cities and competitions in Spain. We are making conscious efforts to take every opportunity to travel and make the most of our situation, with broad, high-quality content at the top of our priority list.

We hope that you will come along for the ride.

Goals
1 of 200 patrons
When we hit 200 patrons, we will begin to make scheduled uploads to our Talking LaLiga YouTube channel. We enjoy making video content, but it can be time consuming, and for now we will be uploading as and when we shoot something we really like. Reaching this level of support from you guys, however, would enable us to put more of our time aside to produce quality regular videos.
