About Tea and Tombstones

My name is Ashlie McDiarmid. Tea and Tombstones was first created in 2016 when I needed a platform to discuss and release the grip of grief, loss, and doubt. I had just lost a foster kitten, which compounded other negative situations circling my orbit. I started the blog Tea and Tombstones to be that place of reckoning, but I did not use it the way it was intended. As the months went by I realized I wanted to immerse myself in the act of being a student again, learning and engaging with content that was new, and brought out my curiosity. I wanted to step into something new, something freeing.

I received the Wild Unknown tarot deck for Christmas, and what I thought would be a mere hobby physically changed me. I was calmer, felt more in control, and most importantly, I felt connected to myself in a way I did not think possible. I have not looked back. Now I am building my platform, with the same name of my old blog, because it still fit. Tea and Tombstones honors the comforting and the out of control. It references the stillness and the energetic vibrations in space and time. Tea and Tombstones is everything that I want to dive into with the tarot.

On my platform, all of the my spreads are written by me, and they do change. I also go into a monthly tarot and oracle card, discussing the whole picture of the two cards. I prefer this way as opposed to pulling daily cards because the cards are highly transferable into daily life. There is so much to get into with the cards that I want to take a whole month to devote adequate time to them. My platform comes from the lens of wellness/ spiritual evolution. Currently, I am also in school with a focus in wellness coaching. I want to thank you for being here. This internet den is precious and feral and intimate.
