About American Military History Museum

Since 1962, we have been dedicated to preserving and restoring the rich tangible history provided by the vehicles that our military has used. Located at the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in South El Monte, CA we are a California Non-Profit Educational Organization.Over the years we have amassed a collection of 181 vehicles ranging from World War One, World War Two, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, and even some from Operation Desert Storm. Our goal as an organization is to instill public appreciation of America's military heritage through the restoration of America's physical military history.
Our team consists of a variety of skilled engineers and talented volunteers. Together we focus on restoration projects of military vehicles and we hope to share our progress and the historical value of what we do. Using primary sources and media we want to share a well rounded experience of America's military history.

Our museum and restoration work is only made possible through the contributions and volunteer labor but these projects can become expensive. Your donations would go directly into our vehicle restorations and in improving the content provided to you. Thank you!
$25.14 of $500 per month
Some of the displays have become weathered over the years, it is our goal to be able to give them a cosmetic restoration. The first project will be the M4A3 (105mm) "Sherman" tank. This particular vehicle was damaged on an Air Force firing range.

We will post updates as the project progresses, feel free to check them out!
