My name is Tara A. Devlin, and I'm both a horror writer and translator. I'm also the host of the Kowabana and Toshiden podcasts, specialising in Japanese horror and urban legends!

Making these podcasts involves a lot of behind the scenes work. I need to find the original stories in Japanese, read through endless posts to find worthy ones, and then translate those that are interesting enough (because oh boy are there plenty that aren't) into English. Urban legends require even more research from all corners of the Japanese web to bring you a new and unique story you've likely never heard in English before. Then there's the production side of turning all that content into a podcast each and every week.

This is a one-man show, I do everything from start to finish all by myself. As you can imagine, it all takes an incredible amount of time. This Patreon allows me to keep producing the content that you enjoy so much, and as a thank you allows me to give back a little extra to you as well! If you'd like to show your support and help me keep these podcasts going, you can take a look at the tiers on the side to see what's on offer. Even a simple dollar a month helps me to keep things going, and the support means the world to me :)
