For everyone else,

Hi, I'm Tatiana Gill. I'm a cartoonist and illustrator. My art tells stories of feminism, my community, fat-positivity, mental health, and addiction recovery.

For most of my life I had undiagnosed and/or untreated mood disorders, alcoholism, an eating disorder, debilitating eczema and allergies, and a host of other physical and mental problems. Now it's all been diagnosed and I'm getting great treatment. I draw comics about my journey and the lessons I've learned along the way, in the hopes it will help heal me and help heal other people too.

With the help of my supporters on Patreon, I can spend more time doing my life's work: drawing comics, and using my visual and storytelling skills to support my community.

Here are some of the projects I completed in 2018:
  • A zine collecting all my comics about recovery from alcoholism
  • Comics about the Seattle King County Clinic, which provides a free dental, vision and medical care to under-served and vulnerable populations in my community
  • Comics about secure medicine return (potentially reducing opiate addiction and improving our water quality) for Seattle King County Health
  • Drawings and comics for the People's Harm Reduction Alliance a.k.a. the University District Needle Exchange
  • Drawings and comics, including my first enamel pin designs, for Shout Your Abortion
  • Daily Diary comics for (almost) every day of October

My lifetime artistic accomplishment is self-publishing dozens of my own comic books, including 7 new books in the past 3 years. I plan to make several more books in the years to come, and if I can't find a publisher, I'll do it myself.

Here are some upcoming projects I hope to have more time to complete!
  • A 120+ page fat-positive coloring book (Alllmooosssst finished!). I've drawn hundreds of plus-size women of different races, abilities and shapes over the past 5 years. As well as loving to draw them, I want to evangelize my belief that all bodies are good bodies, and shame is worse for our well-being than anything we consume. I have a particular fondness for drawing my childhood heroines as plus-size (1980s comic book and cartoon characters), believing that if I had seen more glamorized plus size bodies as a kid, I might have avoided some shame and dysfunction
  • A long memoir comic about the various head-medications I've been on for 25 years and how I manage my mental health today
  • A memoir comic about my lifetime struggles with eczema/asthma/allergies and how I manage my health today

Thank you! <3 <3 <3
