Hi, I’m Taylor. If you stuck Paul Simon, Michael Jackson and Jim Carrey together, you might get me. I'm a mess! And I believe when creativity and innovation is deeply nurtured, anything we want becomes possible. But h'oh boy, are there ever a lot of insidious forces that want to stomp out those exact two things in our technologic, hyper-capitalist world. 

Until recently, I had lived in Toronto for 14 years - the last 8 spent building & running a much loved professional recording studio (Silverthorn Studios) with my best friend. Earlier this year, despite me doing everything to save it and even finding the investors necessary to place a higher offer than everyone else - we were forced to demolish the space and move on from our home, livelihoods & community. I've essentially been forced to move back with my parents in small town Ontario. Needless to say, in the last two months with the studio, between fits of hyperventilating, sobbing and screaming, I recorded a ton of projects, including a bunch of 'Live In Lockdown' albums that I'm now releasing. Half the proceeds I make from those albums will go towards helping another Toronto venue, Hugh’s Room Live, to help it expand it into a non-profit arts performance and community center - which if they're successful, will include a new and better rebuild of my studio with everything we could salvage.

Toronto desperately needs a building like this at this dire time for the arts & arts workers, and with persistence, we can save Hugh’s Room, and Silverthorn together. Half the proceeds from this Patreon will help me keep making art, half will help others by support Hugh's Room Live in transforming into an nonprofit community arts center - providing a safe & affordable space for a whole lotta creativity & innovation for generations to come.
