About
Born in 1987, Holly resides in Manitoba, Canada, with her husband Drew (co-creator of Terra) alongside their two pets, Rogue and Raiden. Holly first took interest in illustration when she was very young and
always considered it a hobby until she came to the conclusion that she
wanted to pursue it professionally. MS has provided a slight road block in her creative pursuits, but she is determined to keep at it regardless of any difficult symptoms that may occur.
Drawing has always been a big part of Holly's life and she couldn't see herself doing anything else.

We are Holly Laing and Drew Dailey, creators of the webcomic Terra and we’d like to take some time to outline our Patreon page.
Patreon is an awesome service that allows you to help support the creators you follow by donating a set amount every month. Subscribers get access to unique feed items (art, scripts, etc...) while the content you support (the webcomic in this case) remains free for everyone. The extra contributions will allow Holly to rely less on commissions and put more time into the comic, which means more content for you!
What You’d Be Supporting:
Terra is a science fiction webcomic that follows a group of heroes who band together to stop an interplanetary war which has waged for over a century. The story focuses on an alien led Resistance, who's aim is to end the ongoing corruption between the two warring factions (Humanity and a species called the Azatoth) and to usher in a new era of peace between the many different species in the known galaxy.
Terra has been running since March 2009 and updates every Wednesday.
How Your Contributions would Help:
This patreon page will allow us to concentrate more of our attention towards the comic, which means more content. There will not be any pay wall, the comic will always be free, this is more of an opportunity for you to help support us in order to make the Terra the best we can make it.
Your contributions will help towards many things, a big one being medical expenses. Holly was diagnosed with MS in 2013 after a relapse that caused vision loss and loss of feeling in the left leg. She has since mostly recovered (but is still left with residual symptoms and a slight loss of vision in her left eye).
Living with a chronic illness like MS can be expensive due to interferon medication, physical therapy and equipment (such as mobility assistance devices, cooling vests, etc). Any amount that can help alleviate the stress of these expenses is greatly appreciated. Contributions will also of course go towards the comic, for things such as software/hardware expenses, printing costs, convention merchandise and more.
We’ve greatly enjoyed providing the comic for all of you over the last six+ years. We look forward to continuing to provide you with as much quality content as possible in the future. Thanks for your time and we hope you’ll consider becoming a patron of Terra.
