Why fund The Little Yellow Bird Project?
The Little Yellow Bird Project was created by Jon Rogers and Dan Brigham at the start of the 2015-16 season to fill a gap for Norwich City fans: to create a website and podcast that had something interesting and fun to say. We always strive to look at Norwich City differently to anything out there in the NCFC world. Dan left to join Norwich City to their programmes.
So, there's a new team of people

There are no blow-by-blow match reports, no transfer gossip, no repeating news you’ve already read elsewhere, no deep analysis of formations, no publishing clickbait and absolutely no budget to do it all in. So far we’ve had a huge support for our output – with some terrific writing on the website. Thank you!

The Little Yellow Bird Project is for the fans. Not advertisers. Not sponsors. We are all about quality writing and interesting, funny views. So far we’ve run the site purely off our own backs and paid for it out of our own pockets. Football websites are overrun with ads from gambling websites which take advantage of people for profit, and we don’t want that on our site.
We have to be independent.

So this is what we are proposing…

Patreon helps followers and fans to pay a monthly fee to The Little Yellow Bird Project in return for quality output. We’re not asking for a huge amount – just $2 a month is around £16 a year. (Or you can give more if you wish!) In return we can keep the website, audio and video content going. Your support would be very kind, and hugely appreciated, and even more helpful than retweeting us or linking to us or SHOUTING ABOUT US.

If everyone who watched, read and listened to our content, paid just one pound a month, the LYBP would be a full time NCFC content provider - all of our normal content and also produces NCFC documentaries, interviews with NCFC staff, famous fans, ex-players, comedy, more music videos.

What will The Little Yellow Bird do for you?
We will continue to do the following:
- Match Previews – interviews with interesting writers and journalists who support the opposition
- WHAT HAPPENED? - Jon's video reviews of the Norwich game
- Podcasts - A bi-weekly dip in the world of NCFC in 'The Little Yellow Bird No Repeat Orginal Podcast' with Clare, Rich + Zoe
- Colourful Articles – we think we have some of the most interesting, funny and best people currently writing about Norwich on our site.
- Things We Sort of Learned – we want to keep our amusing post-match reports

What more will The Little Yellow Bird do for you?
As you can imagine, the site and its content take minutes to read and watch. But hours to create.  Maybe one day, through your funding, this could be a full time job and the amount of content could even double.
We also have things we would like to do which we currently cannot afford. With your funding we want to grow to…
-
- Pay writers and contributors
- Develop artists to help with merchandise
- Attract more writers
- Create comedic videos for the site
- Afford better equipment for podcast and videos

What does funding The Little Yellow Bird mean?
Funding The Little Yellow Bird Project means that we can stay independent. No tacky ads. No banking or gambling sponsorship. So no-one asking us to push their products on the site, or PR teams censoring us. You – our readers – are the only people we will be accountable to. Your money will help good writers get paid for good work. More content will be produced for you to enjoy. It’ll all be done for you.

Thank you!
In advance, thanks so much. We put a lot of work into making sure The Little Yellow Bird Project is as good as it possibly can be, and we are genuinely amazed at the reaction it’s received. We love that so many of you seem to love it, and with a bit of extra cash we’ll hopefully give you reasons to love it even more.

We want to get bigger, better, funnier and more interesting – and with you we can do it.
