Hunger Pangs (Digital Release)

My eternal thanks and a digital copy of my upcoming poly-queer-paranormal romance novel, Hunger Pangs (Book1).

If you'd prefer the non smutty version of this novel, let me know and I'll gladly swap this reward tier out for you for the fluff and fangs version :)

Hi, hello, yes my name is Joy, but most of you likely know me as the vampire nipple erotica editor who just wants to rest. Procrastinator by day and anguished writer at 3am before the morning of the deadline, tumblr somehow managed to trick me into becoming a professional author. So far it seems to be working, thanks entirely to you! My Patreon supporters!

Originally when I set this page up, I really did not think it would work. I anticipated maybe five or six people would subscribe. What I did not anticipate was the very real need and thirst for wholesome vampire-werewolf romance, or that in the two years since I set this page up I'd not only be able to cut down on the insane hours I was pulling off to make ends meet as an editor, but also that I'd sell over 4000 pre-orders and rising for my first debut novel through Patreon alone. That's an insane amount of numbers! Thank you!!!

It's been a long process, and far harder than it should have been thanks to all my health issues* but I can proudly tell you now that the full release for Hunger Pangs is imminent, and that the only reason I don't have a firm date yet is because I'm in the absolute last stretch of editing out some last minute typos we found, and also finalizing a paperback publisher that isn't Amazon and who don't object to adult romances. Our mutual dislike as a community for Amazon stands, and while Amazon will be a global distributor, I'm happy to say I will be selling from a diverse range of platforms and that Amazon get zilch from my royalties. Take that "pay per pages read" kindle payouts!

So what is this Patreon for? That's an incredibly good question! If you've been here since the beginning, you'll know it's been largely used as a place to fund the shenanigans over on my blog and pre-ordering my book (and also generally keeping me alive, thank you), but with my health rapidly improving (*knock on wood*) and my energy levels with it, Patreon supporters can look forward to a lot more in 2019, ranging from regular prompt writing streams over on my twitch where I start with an empty document and make a story from the words you throw at me via the chat, ask me anything style sessions about writing and editing, exclusive art content, advance sneak previews of works in progress, the occasional recipe post, and also some collaborative works that are currently in the process of being finalized between myself and other Patreon creators, which I am particularly excited about. You'll also have early access to any reviews and articles I write before they are made available to a public audience, and the occasional possible gaming stream if and when the mood takes me.

There will also be merch available soon, which even as I say that it feels weird to say, but this is apparently the direction my life is going in and frankly while I never could have imagined any of this in my wildest dreams, I honestly believe I am living the best version of my life right now. And I owe that to all of you.

Thank you for supporting me. You made something I thought could never happen into a reality, and for that you have my eternal and undying gratitude. Quite literally, I've immortalized some of you as vampires.

So even while I'm asking "Siri, how does tumblr keep tricking me into writing vampire novels?"

Please know that I am extremely grateful and I am giving this one in a million chance my absolute heart and soul to bring you the weird and wonderful content you desire.

That said, if you have any requests or things you'd like to see me do? Drop me a line! I'm happy to accommodate requests where I can! :)

*Hi! If you're new here and don't know me, my name is Joy and I live with multiple chronic health conditions that impact my daily life. As a result I am occasionally (often) unable to work due to extreme illness and fatigue. I'm still pursuing diagnosis and treatment at this moment in time, and while I am largely managing my symptoms well, patience for my limitations is greatly appreciated.
I am after all but a humble smut peddler, peddling my weres. And yes, that was a pun. Thanks for noticing <3

If you've been following along with my blog you know I have a lot of medical costs to try and cover, as well as a whole host of allergies that make eating food on a daily basis a complex issue.

$400 a month would be just enough to cover the cost of my monthly medication, and for me to be able to afford the extremely strict and limited diet I can live on without inducing further health complications.

$900 a month would not only enable me to afford food and my medication, but also allow for me to pursue pain treatment management not covered by my insurance, but is vital to my recovery and overall well being. The more physio I can get to, the more I can write, and create awful, weird content for all of you <3

$2500, even for just one month would let me put down the deposit on the last of my dental surgery and start to put my jaw back into the correct position, which I can't even begin to tell you what a huge step forward that would be for me. It's a 3 year procedure but even just being able to start the last of the surgery to prepare for it would be such a relief. Plus I'd be in a lot less pain and as we know less pain = more vampires. Everyone wins. In the long term it would allow me to have something resembling minimum wage income from my writing, which also means more vampires. Basically vampires.

As ever I truly, deeply appreciate the support that has been shown to me over these last few months, thank you so much. Every dollar here is another dollar I don't need to take away from claiming back my health.
